Giuliano the cool little Valparaiso Cat
Today’s Blog is about Giuliano, a really cool little cat we that met at Freddy’s place. Firstly, let me tell you Giuliano’s story and how we met him. Giuliano was found on the street by Freddy when he was just a kitten. As of now he is 4 months old and lives a very exciting life with Freddy in his Air B & B. Giuliano loves climbing, eating ham, playing, being part of everything and going completely crazy at night. If you don’t give him attention and pats he will just jump on your lap. If there is a gathering, he with make sure he has sat on everyone’s lap and so everyone knows he is there and he can get plenty of pats.
Every morning at breakfast, he would make sure he has said hi to everyone and if there happened to be ham on the table he would try and jump on the table to eat it. But more times than not he would not get it, so then he would start crying. Freddy would then pick him up and put him in a side room so he would not annoy us while we were having breakfast. Some breakfasts, we had him screaming in the side room because he wanted to be let out. After breakfast Freddy would let him out of the room to go explore again. We end up giving him little pieces of ham after breakfast and he was very happy about life again. To work on his skills, we did make Giuliano work for it though like he had to jump up and get in.
On Tuesday the 4th of march I woke up early to watch the sunrise on Freddys roof top balcony of course Giuliano was up and had to see what was going on, he ended up here sitting on my lap. I got to see Aconcagua from there which is so cool because it is around 150km in a straight line from Freddy’s balcony. Later Freddy invited my brother and I to go to the vet with Guliano to get his vaccinations. Of course, we jumped at the opportunity. We took Guliano through the whole city with us, he liked it all besides riding on the bus, during the bus ride he started screaming very loudly. Freddy says that Guliano is a good actor because he is very over the top. After the vet visit, we had lunch at the fish market.
The fish market was very smelly and nothing like I have ever seen before. They throw the fish scraps from the dock strait into the ocean. So, there are seals just swimming below the doc waiting for some fish scraps and if the seals don’t eat the fish, then the sea gulls are ready to eat the leftovers. The sea gulls in Chile are nothing like Australian sea gulls they are twice the size of Aussie gulls, the Chilean sea gulls are called Kelp gulls.
I’ll never forget that day walking through Valparaiso with a baby cat and eating fish and chips with Freddy at the fish market.
Stay tuned for the next blog there we will have one last adventure with Freddy.
